We are approximately half way through the parade (35/75) so may have the opportunity to watch the remaining floats after we have finished.

When the parade will finish is anyone's guess.  The best estimate is about 11pm.  Your team leader will phone you to let you know when we are ready.

We will return to our spot on Adelphi Street to be collected
Please make sure your child's team leader knows who will be collecting them and that you have collected them.

To make sure we stand out at night, we will have glow sticks, glow balloons and all members will be wearing a fluorescent scout neckie.

Adults may choose to wear uniform, scouting hoodies, team costume or outdoor type clothes.

Young people will be walking in teams as different scouting activities/badges.  Your team leader will be in touch soon with more info.  Please make sure you have something suitable in good time

Information meetings/workshops will be held on Thursdays 23rd and 30th August.

See attachments below for more info:

*Update*
The Guild campfire has moved to Preston Minster Church at the top of Church St/Fishergate, same times 1pm - 3pm.

On Saturday 23rd June the Olympic torch comes to Preston and local Scouts and Guides are marking the occasion with a huge campfire on the flag market.  It would be great if you could come along and join in the fun – it’s free!  Members should wear uniform.  If you’re going please let us know here - count me in.

Hope to see you there

** Important:- Meeting times updated.**

The community procession is on Friday 7th September.  For most schools this is a school day and you will need to arrange with your child's headteacher for them to be out of school on this day.  The county council have confirmed that schools may mark children as "present at approved educational activity" rather than absent, so this will not affect their attendance record.
