Hope to see you there

West Lancs Scouts have started recruiting participants for ‘Egypt Experience’, which is the latest in the long line of successful International Red Rose visits. Egypt Explored is open to patrols, troops, units, and any grouping of Scouts, Explorers, Network and adults in Scouting. Over a period of two weeks during August 2013 participants will explore all the main sites in Egypt, meet Egyptian Scouts, experience the desert and stay in a range of high quality accommodation. If you have ever wanted to ride camels in the desert, canoe on the Nile or climb inside the Great Pyramid of Giza then this is an experience not to be missed.

More information can be found in the Newsletter

It would be great to take some scouts from 7th Fulwood along and we can look at fundraising jointly to reduce the cost.

Sunday 17th June

After Church Parade you’ll have time to nip home and get changed before returning to the school field for an afternoon of fun.  Building on the success of the parish centre’s 50th and parish garden party, the 2 events have joined forces to make what promises to be a great afternoon, with plenty to do.  The scout group are running the BBQ, so no need to make lunch at home.  Children will need to be accompanied and supervised.

St Anthony’s parish celebrates its feast day this weekend with a special feast day mass on Sunday 17th June.  The scout group has been asked to join in this occasion with a Church Parade.  Beavers, Cubs and Scouts should attend in full smart uniform.  We will meet in the annexe as usual at 10am and parents can collect young people from the annexe after mass at around 11:30am.
