Shouting for Scouting

Can you help us? We are looking for young people to volunteer to help us promote Scouting this Saturday 2nd October. We will be on Preston Flag Market from 1pm - 3pm and are looking for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts to come along (in uniform) and join in some activities and games, to give people a better idea of the things we do. It may be an ideal opportunity for parents to make an early start on the Christmas Shopping!

Snow White

On Saturday 18th December, Preston & District Cub Scouts are arranging a cub's trip to the pantomime "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" at Preston's Charter Theatre. All 120 seats in the Upper Circle for the 10:30am marinee have been booked, so it is a case of first come, first served.

Confirmed numbers and payment for this event are required at October's Leaders Meeting (11th Oct). Because of the block booking we have been able to obtain these seats at a reduced price of £10 per seat.

If your child wishes to go, please see Akela for a reply form and return it together with you £10 fee as soon as possible. We will provide drinks and sweets on the day.

Autumn Term Subs

Subs for this term (until Christmas) are now due, please return your envelope to your next section night.  Beavers/Cubs £22 Scouts £27. 

10 Pin Bowling

Next week (w/c 13th Sept) both Beaver colonies will be going bowling on their usual night.  Please meet at Lakeside Superbowl at 6pm for a 6:15pm start and collect your child again at 7:30pm (ish).  Beavers should attend in full smart uniform.  We will pay for the cost of the bowling and provide a drink, so there is no need for your child to bring any money.

Driving Range

Next week (w/c 13th Sept) both scout nights are going to the driving range on their usual meeting night. We will be meeting at the Preston Grasshoppers range in time for a 7:30PM start and will finish at 9PM. Scouts should attend in full smart uniform. We will pay for the scouts to play, however it is up to yourselves if you wish to give them some money for a drink/snack.
