This terms subs are now due. We are trialling a new system of collecting these and you will receive a personalised envelope with this letter. Please return this next week enclosing your subs. The cost is £22 for Beavers and Cubs, and £27 for Scouts. It is essential that these are paid at the beginning of a term so that planned activities can be financed, and also to enable us to pay our other costs such as insurance and rent for the Annexe.
As well as being the patron saint of England, Saint George is also the patron saint of Scouting and so every year scouts across the country mark the occasion of St Georges Day.
On the day…

Mrs Gardner has kingly agreed that St Anthony’s pupils may wear their Beaver, Cub or Scout uniform to school on Friday 23rd April.  (This will exclude year 4 pupils who are taking part in a Tudor day.)

Following on from this, if anyone should express an interest in Scouting, we do have spaces available, please speak to the section leaders or myself.  There is also a buddy badge available for young people bringing along a friend who goes on to be invested.

On Sunday (25th April)  – St Georges Day Parade

This is the one occasion of the year when all Scouts in the District parade together and:

Everyone is expected to attend

Please ensure that your uniform is of the highest standard, with:
·        New Badges - sewn on your uniform (especially the membership badges).  It would be great to see everyone wearing their new Preston Centenary badge (at the top of their left sleeve) and Zodiac Challenge (on their left breast)
·        Old Badges - removed (Scouting 2007, New century challenge and Project Malaysia)
·        Neckerchiefs - washed, ironed, nicely rolled, with a woggle.
·        Scout trousers (or school trousers if you do not have any)
School shoes (no trainers)
